It’s the ideal technology if you wish to reduce the running costs of your car without changing your habits. The petrol engine of Captur E-Tech hybrid is coupled with two electric motors and a small battery to help lower your fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions.
Captur E-Tech hybrid doesn’t need to be plugged to recharge as its clever system uses recovered energy from braking phases as the main source of power to charge the small battery. It will seamlessly switch between petrol and electric mode to optimise the driving performance and fuel efficiency.

Captur E-Tech plug-in hybrid is the most efficient, yet most dynamic Captur to date. It uses the same technology as the Captur E-Tech hybrid but has a bigger battery which can be charged and allows for more pure electric drive and even lower running costs.
You can drive up to 30 miles in pure electric mode, ideal to save fuel on your your day-to-day trips like commutes, school runs or grocery shopping. On the occasional longer journeys, Captur E-Tech plug-in hybrid will run using both the petrol engine and the electric motors offering unprecedented flexibility.
Charging is simple: it will take up to 4h15** at home on mains socket or 3h on a dedicated home wallbox. Alternatively, you can also use one of the 1,000s of public charge points across the UK.
Combining an efficient 1.6L petrol engine, with a 9.8 kWh battery and two electric motors, it delivers 160 hp and up to 30 miles in full electric mode driving. The most powerful, efficient, and advanced Captur powertrain. This engine can deliver up to 188.3 mpg WLTP if the battery is charged daily. With only 34g per km of CO2,
E-TECH Plug-in Hybrid is equipped with specific features to maximise driving pleasure and unprecedented flexibility. With the addition of PURE electric mode, you have the option to drive fully electric for your everyday journeys. Driving is easier in the town or in slow-moving traffic with B Mode. Switch to B Mode to increase engine braking and allow for a one-pedal driving experience, meaningless brake pedal use, a more relaxing drive, and better still, help preserve or even increase your battery range!
Enjoy a range of connected services onboard CAPTUR E-TECH Plug-in from your EASY LINK multimedia system or remotely with the MY Renault mobile app. With these services, you can pre-heat or cool your vehicle before you start your journey or plan your route to your desired destination.
