About Us

Where it all started.

W R Davies has been a family-run business since it was set up by William Rees Davies in the village of Berriew near Welshpool, in 1924. Since then the business has passed through the generations and is now headed by the grandson of the original W R Davies - Jonathan Davies. Over the last 99 years, the business has grown across the border into England and across multiple counties. With dealerships in North Wales, Shropshire and Staffordshire, W R Davies take pride in employing local people to continue to deliver the family run ethos and 5* customer service.

W R Davies Motor Group uses Pinewood’s DMS Pinnacle software, which is widely used in the automotive industry. Pinnacle has a large amount of your business data stored inside it which is great. Unfortunately it is not easy to find and use the data you want in your reports, or display it in an easy-to-use format unless you are an excel wizard.

Luckily our Finance Director - Craig Taylor - has over 20 years’ experience working with various accounting packages and is an excel wizard. But if you don’t have your own Craig, read on for a solution.
