W R Davies Toyota in Stafford is proudly supporting County Hospital with a courtyard restoration project this year, with funds donated from Toyota’s “Fund for a Better Tomorrow” to the local environmental group Sustainability Matters.
Toyota (GB) has established the Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow with support from Toyota Financial Services. The fund grants up to £2,000 to each Toyota Centre for community initiatives. This year W R Davies Toyota in Stafford was approached by Sustainability Matters to help with potential projects. Working closely with county hospital, Sustainability Matters applied to the fund to restore a courtyard within the main hospital building. Toyota (GB) Charitable Trust accepted the application and they were awarded the maximum donation of £2,000.
The project aims to refurbish a courtyard near the main hospital entrance, to provide a quiet space for rest and reflection. This will be achieved by planting new herbs and shrubs, cleaning the paving, and supplying new benches. The aim is to restore the courtyard’s original theme of a physic garden containing medicinal plants such as lavender, rosemary and coneflowers.
The project is set to begin straight away. If you'd like to learn more about Sustainability Matters, visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/sustainabilitymattersstafford/?ref=bookmarks
This is an annual fund that is available each year, so if you have a project that may fall into the criteria set by Toyota (GB) Charitable Trusts, Toyota Fund for a Better Tomorrow, please get in touch with the centre for the 2019 award application pack.
