Market Drayton 10K 2018

W R Davies Toyota are proud to be supporting the runners at this years' Market Drayton 10K 2018.​

Over 2,500 runners participated on Sunday. It was voted the best 10k in the UK. The event took place on 13th May. MD10k is a community event for all the family to enjoy; a UKA recognised 10k road race for 2500 runners (age 15+), children’s fun runs (toddlers to 14yrs) coupled with a field of entertainment and excitement throughout the day for local residents and visitors.

It is organised entirely by a small team of volunteers, supported by sponsors and local businesses with profits benefitting many local good causes and charities. W R Davies Toyota Telford & Toyota Shrewsbury supported the organisers of the Market Drayton 10K by supplying the pace vehicle for the runners. The pace vehicle was a Toyota Hilux, we also gave a sweep vehicle Toyota Yaris Hybrid and another located on the field Toyota C-HR.

“Mark Powell, Sales Manager at W R Davies Toyota Telford said supporting our local community is really important to W R Davies Toyota especially with Toyota being an official partner of the Olympics and Paralympics. You never know the young runners participating today could be the next UK Olympians.”

Trophies were awarded to male and female 1st, 2nd & 3rd placed runners who also received cash prizes. Vet categories 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65 & over 70 also received a trophy as did juniors (15-17yrs)
Complimentary invitations for next year’s event were awarded to all, and also 4th, 5th & 6th placed overall. All 10k runners received a medal, t-shirt and fabulous goodie bag stuffed with treats and products from local suppliers.

We are already looking forward to next year’s event.”
