Nissan Motor (GB) Managing Director, Alex Smith, cut the ribbon at the new £2 million W R Davies Nissan, on Valley Drive, alongside owner Jonathan Davies and Dealer Principal Alan Poole. More than 100 invited guests attended the official opening, which featured a champagne afternoon tea for everyone and a performance of Christmas carols by the Salvation Army band, as part of the dealership’s connection with the charity and its Christmas gift appeal.

The new-look W R Davies Nissan, one junction up the M6 from its previous location, has been built to a luxury standard and encompasses Nissan’s most up-to-date retail concept, with a welcoming and modern exterior appearance and a futuristic interior. Nissan’s new-look Qashqai, showcased by a canopy of light, is the first vehicle customers see as they enter the dealership, with the full range of models also on show in a bright and airy space.
A concierge service where customers can book in for their appointments or make initial enquiries is also at the entrance, while all sales staff now use tablet technology to take customers through the buying process in an informal, relaxed and efficient manner. At the centre of the dealership is a spacious and comfortable area for customers to relax, enjoy a hot or cold drink and for young children there’s also a play station with games to keep them entertained. Additionally, there’s an innovative design lab, where customers can explore the various personalisation options available across the range, with physical examples of trip and upholstery, and a touch-screen table where customers can view what their dream Nissan would look like in any colour.
